JOIN US AS WE SPOTLIGHT HEART HEALTH THIS SPRING!

Studies show that exercise is essential for healthy cardiac function. According to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, physically active adults:

  • Experience improved lung function, and better circulation.
  • Lower their risk of heart attack, coronary heart disease, stroke, and cancer.
  • Exhibit lower blood pressure and overall cholesterol than non-active people.

To achieve these benefits, consistency is key. The Healthy Heart Spring Challenge takes place over a 12-week period, designed to help us make exercise a regular part of our week.

Let's build heart-healthy exercise habits, together.

CHALLENGE DATES 
February 26 - May 19, 2024

GOAL
Log  30 minutes of activity, 3 days per week, during each week of the 12-week challenge. (Weeks are totaled Mon-Sun.)

PRIZES
Achieve the 30 min/3 times per week threshold, and you'll be entered to win gift cards, a free YMCA membership, produce boxes from Mill Village, and much more!

LEVEL UP
Participants who log 30 minutes a day, 5 days per week will be entered into a special drawing for a $500 gift card!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1.  Use the red registration button below to create your Moveville User Profile! Follow the instructions to confirm your email address.

2.  In your user profile, select "Join the Challenge!" on your dashboard.

3.  Beginning Monday, February 26th, log into your Moveville user portal daily and enter the number of minutes spent moving. All forms of exercise (walking, running, strength training, swimming, roller skating, gardening, etc.) can be counted toward your total!

4.  Minutes can be entered each day for the duration of the 12-week timeframe. The last day to log minutes is Sunday, May 19th. 

5.  Winners will be notified on Friday, May 24th!
